Philip Seymour Hoffman's Posthumous Appearance In The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Will Not Involve A Hologram

We miss Philip Seymour Hoffman. This legend was taken from us way before his time.
There had been rumors that because a pivotal scene with PSH for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 had been left unfilmed, a hologram of the actor would be used in his place.
Apparently the cast and crew came to the decision that a digital recreation was no match for the real Plutarch Heavensbee.
Here’s what The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1‘s director Francis Lawrence had to say on whether or not PSH would be a hologram or not in Part 1:

“We’re not creating anything digital. We’re only using real footage.”

The late actor had died from a drug overdose back in February. Our heart continue to go out to his family and loved ones.
