Phillip Phillips has not only been pushing through round after round of American Idol, but he’s also been battling constant pain.
He has kidney stones that should’ve been operated on weeks ago but he didn’t want to drop out of American Idol.
His father said:
“He├óΓé¼Γäós doing good right now, but it├óΓé¼Γäós been a long hard struggle for him. I├óΓé¼Γäóm so proud of him. He just sucked it up and endured and he overcomes.”
It’s so amazing he won it while in serious pain; imagine how he would have destroyed it if he was totally healthy!
His mother chimed in:
“That├óΓé¼Γäós our baby and we├óΓé¼Γäóre just so happy that he made it through!”
So now that he’s made it through├óΓé¼┬ª what’s next? His dad continued:
“He├óΓé¼Γäós got to have reconstructive surgery on his kidney. That├óΓé¼Γäós why he has a stint in him. He├óΓé¼Γäós had a surgery since he started American Idol already to get through. That├óΓé¼Γäós why they put the stint in him [so they] could keep his kidney functioning good. Physically he├óΓé¼Γäós in good shape. He said it├óΓé¼Γäós painful wearing the stint. That├óΓé¼Γäós why you see him moving like an old man. He can├óΓé¼Γäót move. I can├óΓé¼Γäót wait until he has his surgery and he recovered and ya├óΓé¼Γäóll see him 100%.”
What’s crazy is his kidney stones don’t come as a surprise to the rest of his family.
His dad said:
“I’ve had them. Where we live at is like the kidney stone capital of the world. It├óΓé¼Γäós in the water.”
That’s terrible! Well now that Phillip is the true American Idol champion, he can move away to somewhere where the water isn’t full of kidney stones!
We know that’s not how kidney stones work. LOLz!
