It’s no secret that CNN’s ratings have dropped since Piers Morgan‘e new(ish) show Piers Morgan Tonight took over Larry King Live‘s 9 PM time slot. However, we had no idea it was this bad!
Not only is Piers Morgan Tonight is regularly beat in the ratings by its Fox News primetime counterparts, but now even Fox News’ 3 a.m. news show is getting more views!
This October Fox News├óΓé¼Γäó overnight program Red Eye hosted by Greg Gutfeld — which again, airs at 3 a.m. — has been raking in almost half a million viewers a night! According to our source that’s substantially more viewers than Piers.
What led to Red Eye‘s ratings surge?
Some think Gutfeld’s higher ratings come from his additional exposure as one of the co-hosts of Fox News’ 5 PM show The Five, BUT we think this has more to do with his recent Twitter war with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine over the rocker’s request that Fox News stops playing their music.
Everybody loves a good cat fight between two adult men!
