Good Boy!
A Pit Bull dog woke up his owner Thursday morning when he heard three men brake into his Suffolk County home.
Police say one of the burglars shot the pooch with a .22-caliber rifle before the unidentified homeowner confronted the trio with a shotgun.
The dog’s owner fired and hit two of the men, one fatally, before the third man, 27, ran away, cops said.
A 25 year-old burglar was hit in the gunfire and was in critical condition at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. The dead man was not identified.
The injured dog is expected to survive and (we bet) be rewarded!
