So moving.
A horrible tragedy happened on Wednesday when a fatal shooting happened near the Canada parliament in Ottawa that left one soldier dead.

And while that lead to the cancellation of the game between two famous Canadian hockey teams – the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators – another hockey game that happened later that evening had something tear-worthy happen!
During the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers, the NHL hockey crowd put on a touching display when they began to sing Canada’s national anthem O Canada, and it was definitely emotional.
Here’s what the Penguins’ official team’s Twitter account wrote:
“Some things are bigger than hockey. Tonight Pens fans sang along with the Canadian anthem”
Jeff Jimerson was the one who started Canada’s anthem, but it was definitely the crowd that finished it!
The coach of the Penguins, Mike Johnston, who was born in Nova Scotia in Canada, said:
“I thought it was a special tribute tonight. Certainly, when those events happen, they strike everybody.”
That’s true.
But we also hope times like these bring everyone together. Canada’s spirits will never break, and we are right here to support them!
