That’s because Pizza Hut is bringing back BOOK IT! for the reading program’s 30th anniversary!
If you grew up in the ’80s or ’90s, then you probably remember BOOK IT!, but in case you don’t, well, we feel sorry for you.
The reading program was an incentive-based, pizza-getting godsend, where for every reading milestone you met, you were rewarded with free pizza!
And in honor of its 30th birthday on Wednesday, Pizza Hut is running a promotion where if you were a BOOK IT! kid back in the day, then you too can get a personal pizza for free until Oct. 10th.

But what surprised us the most is that BOOK IT! is still around. You can still get your K-6th graders signed up and reading/eating pizza today!
And that’s not all, the company actually just came out with an iPhone app just this week, so they’re still pretty relevant.
