Famed Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan passed away in a car crash on Monday afternoon.
His Jeep went over the side of Pacific Coast Highway and landed on the rocks. Lifeguards tried to help at the scene, but Ryan was trapped in the vehicle with severe head injuries.
The Ventura County Fire Department even tried to rescue the doctor by helicopter, but to no avail. Rescue attempts were called off as he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just minutes before the crash, Ryan took to his Twitter to report on his day.
He Tweeted:
“After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew! Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune.”
The dog was also in the car at the time of the accident. She was injured but survived.
Dr. Frank Ryan, who was famous for working on the faces of Gene Simmons, Vince Neil and Heidi Montag, was only 50 years old.
