Production on a sequel to the Liam Neeson action flick taken, with original castmembers Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace both returning, is well underway, and pretty fascinating new details about the direction the script will be taking have emerged!

According to sources on the Olivier Megaton-directed film, Rade Sherbedgia has been cast as the villain, a man named Murad who is the father of the kidnapper Leeson killed in the original. Murad will reportedly be kidnapping both him and Janssen, which leaves Grace to be the one in the hero position!
Wow! A complete switch-up of the plot!
And we’re happy to see Maggie Grace take a more badass female role in this one, but half the fun of the first was seeing Leeson stomp his hardcore self around!
So long as he gets his moments, too, we guess!
