After the game helped uncover a dead body, we guess anything is possible!

Well what you may NOT know is that this popular game is a lot more dangerous than you think thanks to some very sneaky armed robbers!
Over the weekend, a Missouri police department issued a statement letting people know they were notified of a armed robbery around 2am on Sunday. What was so surprising about the crime is that authorities believe the men used the Pokémon Go game to lure targets in to secluded areas so they could hold them up!
Thankfully, only a few hours after releasing a statement regarding the suspects, police were able to arrest and charge the three men suspected with robbery first degree and armed criminal action. The bond for the boys was set at $100,0000 and they’re all currently waiting to be transferred to St. Charles County Department of Corrections.

This is actually a REALLY scary way to manipulate the game as players walk around in the real world using their phone’s GPS to let them know when and where creatures are nearby. When the player turns their camera on, the Pok├â┬⌐mon show up on the phone! Obviously, a fellow gamer could use this to isolate player for one reason or another!
Sergeant Bill Stringer said in a statement:

“Using the geolocation feature, the robbers were able to anticipate the location and level of seclusion of unwitting victims.”

The authorities also warned on Facebook saying:

“If you use this app (or other similar type apps) or have children that do we ask you to please use caution when alerting strangers of your future location.”

Honestly, we’re just glad these sickos have been caught and hope people remember to play safely when trying to catch them all!
