Polanski Will Not Be Extradited!

So much for being a neutral country, Switzerland!
This morning, Swiss officials announced that Roman Polanski won’t be extradited to the United States to face the child sex charges against him.
The decision, according to the Swiss, was made after months of waiting for the U.S. to provide a confidential testimony in the case from 1977-1978. The U.S. rejected this request and now the Swiss are calling Roman a free man. This could be the potential end to the U.S.’ three-decade pursuit of Roman, and if he travels back to France, he is safe under their citizen laws and now, with all the trouble over Switzerland’s deliberations it’s unlikely any other country is going to go after him.
And so another child sex offender walks around free in the world. Amazing what dirty politics (and we’d wager a hefty bribe to the Switzerland government) can do!
Way to go, Swiss!
