We love the incredibly specific genre of news involving the pope and birds.
The last story about the pope and birds didn’t really go according to plan, but this story is just fabulous across the board!
An Italian porn star, Francesco Lombardi, went to see the Pope and brought along his pet parrot Amore.
The pope was making his way through the crowd when he spotted the bird and actually circled back to bless the parrot!
Francesco is a former male stripper, current star of porno flicks and head of the city council in Trezzano, in Northern Italy. (What’s up with Italian porn stars being politicians?) He said:
“Pope Francis, who I am in love with, called it ‘a beautiful gift from God.'”
The bird apparently climbed onto the pope’s hand and said, “Papa!” which is what Italians call the pope.
That’s so cool! What a lucky bird!
