WOW!!
Pope Francis is probably the BEST pope we have EVER had, like ever.
He doesn’t judge anyone who is gay, he let a little boy wander on stage & hug him during a speech, let another little boy take his skullcap off, AND was named TIME‘s Person of the Year!
As if all of that isn’t AH-MAZING enough, in a recently published discussion, Pope Francis has spoken out against alienating children in difficult family situations, specifically children of same sex couples, from the church!
He said:
“How can we proclaim Christ to these boys and girls? How can we proclaim Christ to a generation that is changing? We must be careful not to administer a vaccine against faith to them.”
His Holiness elaborated further by adding a specific instance when a little girl confessed to him that she was concerned about whether or not her mom’s fianc├â┬⌐ liked her!
Except it wasn’t any ol’ fianc├â┬⌐, the mother’s partner was in fact a woman & the little girl was a child of a same-sex couple!
Looking at the English translation, it’s not clear whether he’s talking about a child of a same-sex couple, however, when you look at the Spanish & Italian versions the grammatical gender used was that of the feminine in both languages!!
Take a look:
English: “My mother’s fiancé doesn’t like me.”
Spanish: “La novia de mi mamá no me quiere.” (My mother’s girlfriend doesn’t love me.)
Italian: “La fidanzata di mia madre non mi vuol bene.” (My mother’s fiancée does not love me.)
Dayum! This is AH-MAZING that the he is speaking out against this kind of mistreatment!!! Pope Francis is definitely a game-changer!
We love it!!!
