Acting and flopping are a part of the game of soccer, but there was none of that here. Okay, maybe a little bit.
Down 2-0 to Germany, Portugal’s fiery defender Pepe took matters into his own hands, giving Germany’s Thomas Müller a soft elbow to the face.
Müller did what every soccer player everywhere does and went down harder than was necessary, which peeved Pepe. So, he went back and headbutted Müller!
That resulted in the Portugal player getting a red card and getting tossed from the game!
Then Müller scored again, putting another nail in Portugal’s coffin.
Pepe may also be suspended from the rest of the group stage, and he’ll be suspended for at least one game.
It just goes to show that there’s no room for hotheads anywhere in this world! So cool off, y’all!
