Zac Posen has been downgraded!
The designer has lost the late Thursday fashion week time-slot he has held for seven years. Instead, he’ll be showing his collection next month in the much smaller Altman Building at the unpopular time of 9:00am Monday morning.
Fierce fashionistas will still be recovering from all the MTV VMA after-parties at that time!
While Posen’s people tried to make the best of the change, stating that “this collection could only be shown in an intimate setting where there is a connection between model, clothing, and audience,” Posen himself let his true colors show, saying: “My show is changed completely,” he said at last week’s premiere of The September Issue. “It’s all about survival in New York right now. It’s bad times. My time-slot change is only the beginning.”
Tommy Hilfiger snatched up Posen’s former time-slot, upgrading from his 10:00am Thursday spot he held last season.
Bummer!
