We have come SO FAR in the past 12 months and there is plenty of reason to celebrate this weekend! And we will!
But we must also be mindful of the work left to do! There is lots of it!
LGBT people are still legally discriminated against in many states.
LGBT Americans are still the victims of hate crimes, even here in New York City.
LGBT youth still have have higher homelessness and suicide rates than their heterosexual peers.
Being out and proud we help the world see us and learn that we are just like them!
