Prince Andrew Ditching Royal Family This Holiday After Latest Shameful Snafu

Prince Andrew won’t be spending Christmas with his family!

The Duke of York is (yet again) embroiled in another scandal after it was reported he was pals with an alleged Chinese spy! In a statement to the BBC, Andrew said he “ceased all contact” with the individual, whom he met “through official channels” and “nothing of a sensitive nature [was] ever discussed.” The individual was identified as Yang Tengbo and has denied the allegations.

After his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, this is the LAST thing Andy needed! Things with his brother King Charles III are already super tense since he won’t stop living at Royal Lodge despite many pleas to move out, and now the dynamic just got so much worse!

According to DailyMail.com on Monday, Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson WON’T be celebrating Christmas in Sandringham with the rest of the family. Whoa!

It is believed the exes will stay at Royal Lodge, where they live together, to celebrate the occasion. But here’s the sad thing: they won’t be joined by their kids Princess Beatrice or Princess Eugenie either! Apparently, the ladies already made the decision to spend the holiday with their in-laws, something they reportedly haven’t done in years. So, it’ll be a quiet Christmas for Andrew and Fergie!

Interestingly, Andrew came to this choice on his own — though Charles is probably so happy! The outlet learned that the monarch didn’t want to bother his little brother about not attending, but hoped he might “do the decent thing” and decide to stay away amid the spy controversy. As Perezcious readers know, it’s tradition for the royals to be seen walking to church on the holiday. A public outing amid a scandal like this? Not ideal!

Charles and Queen Camilla reportedly turned to Sarah to get the job done, as they’ve always been “fond” of her and appreciate her loyalty to Andrew. Believing she was the only one who could convince the Duke not to attend the festivities, they made it clear privately that they thought it’d be a “blessing” if she were to persuade him to make other plans. Well, it worked! Now they need Sarah to convince Andrew to move! LOLz!

We wonder if he’ll ever get back on the guest list after this?! Or maybe he’ll be just like Prince Harry and never get invited to anything again? Oof. Time will tell!
