Pop music legend Prince is going to guest star on an episode of New Girl that’s set to air after the Super Bowl!
ZOMG! We need to go get our raspberry berets on! We are SO excited!
The series will feature Prince playing himself and hosting an epic all-night dance party that Zooey Deschanel and the crew all crash!
And get this – that idea was actually pitched by Prince himself!
Turns out the Purple Rain singer is a HUGE fan of the FOX sitcom and reached out to them saying he wanted to do a guest appearance, if they would have him.
Their answer was of course HELLZ YES!!!
The deal has been a well-kept secret ever since but this week, one of the show├óΓé¼Γäós stars couldn’t help but tell all of Twitter about the exciting news that was about to break! Hannah Simone, who plays Jess├óΓé¼Γäó BFF CeCe, tweeted out:

While Prince has acted before in his own 1984 movie, this marks his first sitcom TV debut!
