Prince Harry has just received the 2012 Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership Award from the Atlantic Council!
The handsome, handsome man showed up in DC to accept the award personally during the annual awards dinner on Monday!
Strangely enough, this was the first time that Harry’s ever been to the U.S. capital! He was honored for this work with military vets, servicemen and women in the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry!
Prince William couldn’t make it, so Harry was sure to accept the award on his bro’s behalf while he was away.
Here’s some of what Prince Harry said during his speech:
“This isn’t daunting at all. Generally, I obviously don’t feel that I’ve done nearly enough to deserve [this award]. The very least we owe them is to make sure that they and their brave families have everything they need through the darkest days ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and, in time, regain the hope and confidence to flourish again.”
We love that he’s so humble AND he stands up for causes he truly believes in.
It’s no wonder that fans of his even showed up to the awards just to get a glimpse!
Congrats, Harry! Well deserved!
