Will Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Kids See Their Cousins During UK Visit?

Is there going to be a reunion between the royal cousins next month? Unfortunately, you shouldn’t get your hopes up!

In case you missed it, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry plan to bring their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK in July for the first time since 2022. King Charles III is going all out to make sure the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are comfortable while in the country for the Invictus Games, even offering royal lodging and covering their security arrangements. And in return, he is getting to spend time with his grandkids.

However, don’t plan on the Wales family joining in the reunion. The experts say Prince William and Princess Catherine‘s kids’ busy summer schedules are likely to prevent them from hanging out with their two younger cousins! Not to mention the bad blood between their parents! Royal commentator Amanda Matta told Page Six on Tuesday that “there is no indication” Archie and Lilibet will see Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis:

“Even if relations are gradually improving, the Wales household likely has a full schedule already in place for the summer, and any reunion involving the cousins would require tons of planning and goodwill from all parties involved.”

And everyone knows Harry, Meghan, William, and Catherine are not on good terms! Not even as Charles is trying to make amends with the Sussexes! Matta noted the feud between the foursome could be “the biggest hurdle” to get the cousins to reunite, adding:

“Particularly if Catherine were to be involved in any potential plans.”

Royal reporter Emily Nash went on to say that it’s “far too soon to say” if the cousins will meet, but she doesn’t think it’ll happen this time:

“I mean, you never know. If it was part of a wider family gathering, it’s possible they could be at the same place at the same time. But, you know, given the very fractious nature of the relationship between William and Harry, I don’t see them rushing to spend time together just because Harry’s back in the UK.”

King Charles better start planning a mandatory family gathering STAT! LOLz! And when asked if Harry and William even want their children to see each other, Nash said:

“I think that’s the sort of question for down the line. I think, fundamentally, you have two brothers here who were not speaking to one another. That is the key relationship that needs to be resolved, really, before anything else can happen.”

Who knows when that’ll happen, sadly. But despite their issues, Nash feels the princes do want the kids to connect one day:

“In any family, you would hope that cousins would have a chance to spend time together and grow up together, and I’m sure they don’t feel any differently.”

For now, however, there won’t be a happy family reunion between Meghan, Harry, Catherine, and William — regardless of the kids. Both Matta and Nash agree on that. It doesn’t even matter if King Charles insisted. They feel it won’t happen. Damn. Nash assumes the monarch isn’t getting in the middle of the feud right now because he is repairing his own relationship with Harry:

“I think he probably is just focused on his own moment of spending time with the son he’s not seen for a long time, especially potentially meeting his grandchildren … I’m sure that’s probably his primary focus right now.”

One would think Harry, William, Meghan, and Catherine wouldn’t let their rift get in the way of the kids having a relationship with each other, but apparently not. What a shame.
