As you can imagine, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had quite the start to their New Year after announcing their intentions to step back from the royal family at the start of January.
On the recent ABC News special, Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan, and the Crown, one of Harry’s longtime friends discussed the bombshell decision made by the Sussexes to pursue a new life.

Understandably, the 35-year-old has “suffered a lot” while being judged for his decision, which was made in an effort to “protect his cub and his lioness.”
Polo star Nacho Figueras explained on the Wednesday night program:
“He’s being a father. This is a guy who is trying to protect his cub and his lioness from whatever it takes.”
Per Good Morning America, Figueras shared with cameras:
“I spoke to Harry a few days ago. He has suffered a lot from all of the things that have happened to him. He suffers a lot from people judging him.”
The “David Beckham of polo” added:
“He has become an incredible man, a man that his mother would be proud of. In spite of the place that he was given and all of the benefits and comfort that life has given him, he’s one of the most committed and hard-working people that I know.”
Ultimately, Archie Harrison‘s mom and dad are in search of a “normal life,” Nacho divulged, though we assume it will be some time before they’re actually able to have one
“He wants to live a normal life, as normal as his life is going to be, right? Because when you have 1,000 paparazzis outside your house in Canada waiting to get one picture of your son, that’s not very, very normal.”
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton — who has reportedly been suffering from “bouts of anxiety” — is just missing her brother-in-law! Despite all the stories we’ve heard of a feud between Prince William and Harry or Meg and Kate, we’ve never heard of any issues between Kate and Harry. An insider explained to Us Weekly:
“She wishes she could speak to Harry. She misses him and fears she’ll never be close to him again.”
