It’s always hard watching an ex marry the love of their life.
But Chelsy Davy attended the royal wedding anyway, where she bravely and dutifully watched her ex Prince Harry exchange vows with Meghan Markle.

And while she looked poised on the big day, Davy was reportedly “quite emotional” earlier in the week — particularly when she rang up Harry for a “final call” to close the book on their love story.
A “family friend” explained to Vanity Fair:
“It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on. Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding. In the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party.”
Thankfully, there were no “I OBJECT!”‘s from the 32-year-old, who cooly and calmly rocked a blue dress at St. George’s Chapel for the May 19 ceremony.
The jewelry designer even refrained from gatecrashing the reception at Frogmore House afterwards, as Vanity Fair reported that Davy was not one of the 200 people invited to the private afterparty.
Harry met Davy in 2004. They dated on and off again for nearly seven years, and she even attended Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s wedding in 2011.

Though Davy and Harry were on friendly terms for years, those in the know say that they never had that “spark” that he does with the Suits actress.
Davy wasn’t the only ex girlfriend Harry invited to his wedding day. Cressida Bonas, who Harry dated from 2012 to 2014, was also at the ceremony.
We’re sure many tears were wept!
