Buckingham Palace is all but in the rearview mirror as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving forward hyperfocused on their future!
The dust is beginning to settle after a historic Royal family shake-up saw the couple step back from their royal duties and start forging their own financially independent path across the pond in Canada. Despite losing their HRH titles and a few other logistical changes, it would appear the couple finally got everything they wanted with #Megxit — and it’s a good thing, too.
According to some tea-spilling sources over at Us Weekly, Archie Harrison‘s father has been dreaming about the day he’d be able to get some distance from the Crown for “years.”

One insider gave quite a pessimistic take on Harry’s familial upbringing, telling the outlet:
“Harry’s been unhappy in the royal family for years.”
Well, we can get behind that statement when you step back and consider how a different source told People that he was more than ready to welcome change and ideas about a different way of living once Meghan entered his life. It’s almost like the former Suits star was a figurative life vest for someone who was drowning if these sources are to be believed!
The mag also apparently caught up with Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, who seems to think her youngest son will likely shine outside of his older brother, Prince William’s shadow.
“I doubt he’ll miss being a royal. Yes, he was born a prince, but his long-term ambition is to be known as a humanitarian, like his mother.”
Given the fact the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will still keep their old patronages amid their exit, and all of the charitable work they most likely have planned for the future, we think it’s safe to say that goal will still be met!
At the end of the day, the one-time parents couldn’t be happier with their new normal. A third source shared Harry is “really excited about the next chapter in their lives” and Meghan’s “so happy.”
As our readers will recall, Harry spoke to this during an emotional, heartfelt speech at a recent charity event where he assured the British public that it’s all love — but he’s gotta go! In part, he said:
“I also know you’ve come to know me well enough over all these years to trust that the woman I chose as my wife upholds the same values as I do. And she does, and she’s the same woman I fell in love with. We both do everything we can to fly the flag and carry out our roles for this country with pride. Once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve. For those reasons, it brings me great sadness that it has come to this. The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back, is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges. And I know I haven’t always gotten it right, but as far as this goes, there really was no other option. What I want to make clear is we’re not walking away, and we certainly aren’t walking away from you.”
Harry still has a bright future with his family, that’s for sure!
