We’re not sure what Prince fans will think about this.
On Monday, it was revealed that the Purple Rain singer’s heirs went to war with producer George Ian Boxill over the release of his collaboration with the A-lister, titled Deliverance, because the EP would hinder their plans for a reality show. Oh, c’mon.

Reportedly, the late music icon’s loved ones are in the early development stages for a TV show all about how their lives have been affected by Prince’s passing. According to TMZ, the family wanted to debut the Little Red Corvette artist’s posthumous music on the reality show, which is why they picked a fight with Boxill to keep Deliverance under wraps. Seems like a money making scheme to us!
Regardless, there is no scheduled air date for this new unscripted show as only a production company has signed on to the project. Perhaps if the family’s show doesn’t get picked up they’ll stop holding the unreleased tunes hostage?? Fingers crossed that’s what happens!
