Michael Jackson‘s oldest son, Prince Michael, attended the children’s charity Tribute to Bambi event in Berlin over the weekend.
He presented three handwritten manuscripts of some of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits to go up for auction, including Bad, Billie Jean, and Smooth Criminal.
Before presenting the gifts, he told the audience of 800:
“With everything I do, I try to build on what my father did. I also try to help and change things ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ just like he did.”
Four hours after the auction opened, the manuscript for Bad was already at $20,400. Bidding will continue until Nov. 10 at United Charity. All proceeds will go to charities benefiting disadvantaged children.
At the end of the evening, a choir of 30 children sang his father’s hit song We Are The World, which moved the audience in tears.
Prince unfortunately could not stay at the event for long, but told reporters:
“I wish I could stay longer to see the sights. But I have to get back for school.”
He’s still just a regular kid, after all!
Your father would be proud of you, Prince. Good work. You definitely have your dad’s big heart.
