Prince's Sister Vocalizes Support For Justin Timberlake's Controversial Halftime Show!

Prince‘s sister was all about Justin Timberlake‘s Super Bowl tribute.
In case you missed it, the Filthy singer caused some controversy when he used Prince’s image and voice during his halftime show. While many applauded the way Timberlake paid tribute to the late Minnesota native, others were not so impressed.

And it appears that Prince’s family is standing by Justin’s performance decision as the deceased music icon’s sister, Tyka Nelson, has said that she was pleasantly surprised by the show. In fact, she thoroughly enjoyed JT’s take on I Would Die 4 U.
According to TMZ, the Nelsons were aware that the 37-year-old would be performing one of their brother’s songs, but were NOT aware that a giant projection would be played. In regards to what Prince would’ve wanted, Tyka defended that there’s no way to know, so Justin’s been put in an impossible situation.
It probably didn’t help that Prince had previously shaded Timberlake and his SexyBack track. On the past beef between the Purple Rain artist and the former boy bander, Nelson noted that her brother wasn’t one to hold grudges. She added:

“He said what he said and kept it moving.”

Still, it’s said that Prince wasn’t a fan of duets between living and deceased artists. Apparently, he thought this type of performance was “demonic.” Oof.
At least there’s no bad blood between Timberlake and the Nelsons…
