Want to work for the royal couple?
Prince William and his wife, Kate, are now hiring a housekeeper and dresser for their new London apartment at Kensington Palace.
The jobs are described as a “balancing act” because they combine helping the newlyweds on a personal level, but not becoming to familiar. According to the advertisement posted in Buckingham Palace, applicants must be friendly, patient, and good at the job.
Hey! That’s us! We’d totally apply if it wasn’t a temporary gig…darn.
Sources say the new employees will be based in London, but will not be required when the couple returns to their home in Anglesey, where William is based as an RAF rescue pilot.
Any potential candidates will have to impress the Duchess of Cambridge herself as she will personally interview the hopefuls and wants the right people in place before their first official overseas trip to Canada on June 30.
Unfortunately for anyone not already in the royal service industry already, it sounds like they will be hiring internally, as a source inside Buckingham Palace said:
“The whole place is buzzing with excitement. Lots of people will want these prestigious jobs. The royals always like to promote existing staff rather than bring in people from outside.”
May the best servants win! Good luck!
Would U want to apply for this gig if you could?
