What a hero!
Prince William helped guide a rescue helicopter in horrible weather conditions so medics were able to airlift a young injured woman, Ruby Lawrence, from a ledge on Mount Snowdon in North Wales while doing his SAS helicopter training!
Ruby was on a sponsored walk to raise money in memory of her soldier boyfriend who was killed in Afghanistan earlier this year and she fell 20 feet on to a ledge! She says:
“It was a shock to find out he was flying the helicopter and it’s a shame I didn’t realize it at the time. I just want to thank the Prince and all of the team involved in my rescue because they did a really good job. If I had been up there on my own, I would have died.”
Amazing!
Bravo, William!
