Vanity Fair Continues Its Tradition Of Dead Cover Stars With Princess Diana

By now, we’re all well aware of Vanity Fair‘s penchant for putting deceased people on its cover — the magazine thrives on nostalgia!

But the September cover featuring Princess Diana seems a little too calculated. They obviously timed it to coincide with all the royal baby hype. On the other hand, at least it’s not another Marilyn Monroe cover, right?

The photo of Diana, taken by Mario Testino in 1997, is absolutely beautiful, but maybe it would’ve made more sense for this cover to have gone to Naomi Watts, who plays the late princess in the upcoming Diana biopic.

Just a thought!
