Federal drug investigators are interrogating two doctors concerning the death of actor Heath Ledger.
The docs are believed to have supplied Ledger with the painkillers Oxycotin and Vicodin. Authorities want to know if the drugs were prescribed illegaly by the doctors, one of which is located in California, the other in Texas.
On January 22 of last month, the NYC medical examiner determined Heath died at 28 from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, including painkillers, anti-anxiety medication, and sleeping pills.
A law official says, “It’s an ongoing investigation. It’s not clear if there was any wrongdoing.”
Sources say that the federal Drug Enforcement Administration has subpoenaed the medical examiner’s report as part of its investigation on the doctors.
Prescription drug abuse is a serious issue. Doctors that feed into that can not be tolerated!
