The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today that gay marriages are officially legal in California!!!
AH-MAZING!!!!!
After SCOTUS‘ ruling against Proposition 8 this week, the lower court was free to lift the injunction and that’s just what they’ve done!
And Governor Jerry Brown already ordered state officials “to begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in California as soon as the 9th Circuit confirms the stay is lifted,” so it’s OFFICIAL!!!
Congratulations to everyone who fought so hard for marriage equality!! We’re so thrilled this day has finally come!!!
Now everyone in California can marry the man or woman that they love, regardless of genders!!!
The fight isn’t over though until everyone in the country has the same wonderful opportunity!
