As the trial to challenge California’s Proposition 8 begins on Monday, we’ll all be able to watch history in the making.
A district court judge approved taping the trial due to “widespread interest,” yet the broadcast will be delayed for several hours and likely to air on YouTube.
The US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals must approve the decision, but are expected to do so. Those supporting Prop 8, which bans same-sex marriage, were against recording the trial because they felt witnesses would not want to testify.
