PS22 Chorus has struck a sentimental chord with a heart-felt dedication to a beloved teacher fighting cancer.
The fifth graders at the Staten Island elementary school sang Martina McBride‘s I’m Gonna Love You Through It as a tribute to teacher Adriana Lopez, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
The video, posted on the chorus’ YouTube channel, shows Lopez emotional and wiping away tears as she watches the performance from the bleachers.

McBride herself caught wind of the video and shared a touching message on her Twitter:
Music is so powerful and I am blessed to have been given this song. Thanks P22 Chorus and much love to Adriana Lopez http://t.co/O2Nn0ghg4k
