Want your daughter to stay a virgin until she’s married? Cool! Just make sure her dad is her boyfriend!
ABC’s Nightline Prime is helping bring to light events, ironically called Purity Balls, where fathers share the importance of their daughters saving their virginity until marriage.
These Balls take place in 48 states and 17 countries, where the young girls pledge to marry the Lord, and have their dad as their boyfriend, until they find ‘the one.’
Sounds pretty, erm, different!
At the balls, fathers give their daughters a purity ring, and the dads sign a covenant:
“before God to cover my daughter as her authority and protection in the area of purity.”
The rings go perfect with the white dresses the girls wear too!
But wait, what about the boys?! Shouldn’t parents be concerned about whether or not they save themselves for marriage too?!
