Queer Eye's Bobby Berk Claims A RHONY Star 'Literally Stole' From Him - And Fans Speculate It's Aviva Drescher!

Queer Eye‘s resident interior designer Bobby Berk is spilling major tea about one of his ugly past experiences with a celebrity client!

While appearing on The Jenny McCarthy Show last week, the 38-year-old said he learned the hard way that celebrities oftentimes “expect everything for free,” revealing he almost worked with an unnamed Real Housewives of New York cast member who took advantage of him long before he was a mainstay on the hit Netflix makeover series.

Berk said the mystery Bravo star came into his store in New York and approached him about designing her newly purchased residence while promising plenty of exposure on the show:

“Turns out, of course, she wasn’t buying it. She didn’t even own the last one she had on the show that she said she owned. She’s like, ‘I want you to come in and design it all. I’m gonna put you on the show.’ And I wasn’t on TV yet. I still kind of liked the Housewives, so I was like, ‘Oh, OK, but just so you know, I’m not doing it for free. I don’t need to do it for free. I don’t necessarily know if the Housewives is really the exposure I want anyways, so I’ll do it for you at cost.’”

He said the RHONY star did agree to pay him for his work, but then she quickly changed her tune and tried to get away with contracting the project for free:

“Then, her husband calls and her husband’s like, ‘No, you just really need to do this for free,’ and tried to bully me into doing it for free. Finally I was like, ‘You know what? I’m not only not doing it for free, I’m not doing it anymore. I don’t need this.’ She came into my store the next week when I wasn’t there and told my staff that I had said she could take anything out of the store that she wanted to design her house for the shoot and here was her credit card and ‘If I don’t bring anything back, if I like something, you can just charge the credit card.’”

WTF?! Seriously not cool!

Bobby said his employees had no idea about the woman’s actions and “cleaned out” the store at her request. The staff tried getting in contact with her about the items for months but were unable to reach her, noting the card she left on file had been declined. He went on to say that he later confronted the Real Housewives star about “literally” stealing from his store, but she and her husband allegedly threatened him.

“They said, ‘You know what? Then let’s go to court. This’ll be good TV. It’s easier for us just to have our lawyer deal with it than it would be to actually pay you.’”

While this kind of behavior is definitely juicy for TV, it is beyond disgusting in real life and shameful!!

While Bobby didn’t namedrop who the person was, he did say the ordeal has made him “very picky” about working with high-profile clients going forward. However, it didn’t take long for Internet sleuths to do a little digging and many fans speculate his awful story was about Aviva Drescher. Check out this old tweet from 2014 where he reposted a Page Six article about her alleged con artist ways and mentioned he isn’t the only one she screwed over:

He even called out her husband Reid Drescher as a “crook” in a separate tweet months earlier, which definitely doesn’t look good for the pair:

Eek!

The couple has not yet responded or commented on the story, but considering he didn’t directly name them, they may just let this one slip under the rug as they did with their alleged previous behavior. But man, this all just sounds so awful!
