R. Kelly’s Alleged Victims Working With Chicago Prosecutors To Launch A Formal Investigation

R. Kelly

Chicago attorneys have spoken with at least one of R. Kelly’s alleged victims and families of two other alleged victims on Tuesday night in an effort to prosecute the singer for sexual abuse and other crimes.
According to TMZ, a family member of one of the alleged victims has spearheaded the effort and will put an evidence packet together for Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx, who believes the evidence brought by the families is sufficient enough to take the disgraced singer to court.
The news comes a day after Foxx urged victims and family members of victims to “please come forward” with information, telling local press she was “sickened” by Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly docuseries.

The State Attorney’s Office is waiting to see if more victims come forward before launching a formal investigation.
Outside of Chicago, the families of the two women who are still living with Kelly, Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, have reportedly been cooperating with police to get them out of the R&B star’s house — despite their daughters apparently not wanting to leave.
Savage and Clary are reportedly hiring lawyers in attempt to stop rescue efforts from their parents, who believe Kelly has brainwashed both women.
