There are so many tragic tales coming out of Newtown, CT, it’s impossible to begin to comprehend them all.
Rachel D’Avino was a behavioral therapist employed at Sandy Hook Elementary, and she will never know that her boyfriend Anthony Cerritelli planned to propose to her on Christmas Eve.
According to close friend Lissa Lovetere Stone, Anthony had just asked Rachel’s parents for permission to take their daughter’s hand in marriage and he planned to pop the question in several days.
Lissa says Rachel was an exemplary individual, especially in caring for children with special needs. She revealed:
“I think she taught me more about how to be a good mother to a special needs child than anyone else ever had… Her job didn├óΓé¼Γäót end when the school bell rang at 3 o├óΓé¼Γäóclock.”
According to Lissa, the police told Rachel’s grieving family that she heroically shielded a student during Adam Lanza‘s horrific killing spree.
Rachel was 29 when her life was taken on Friday.
