Rachel McAdams is normally super private about her relationship and personal life, but she’s finally confirmed in an interview with The Sunday Times U.K. that she welcomed her first child in April with boyfriend Jamie Linden.

While she didn’t share her son’s name or birthday, she did open up about the joys of motherhood:
“I want to keep his life private, even if mine isn’t. I’m having more fun being a mom than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me.”
But that excitement doesn’t come without the chaos of a new baby:
“I have clothes on and that’s a good thing. I don’t even know what I’m wearing today. The shoes are held together with glue. Isn’t that sad? I need to get a life.”
Even so, she tries not to turn to technology as a pacifier:
“We never turn on the television when he’s around. Pots and pans are good babysitters.”
And plans for future babies? Not off the table:
“I think there is definitely room for more.”
