In a recent interview, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke revealed that there may not be another full length album for quite some time because In Rainbows left them creatively exhausted.
Yorke explained, “None of us want to go into that creative hoo-ha of a long-play record again. Not straight off. I mean, it’s just become a real drag. It worked with In Rainbows, because we had a real fixed idea about where we were going. But we’ve all said that we can’t possibly dive into that again. It’ll kill us.”
If avoidable, death is never a good option!
He added, “I mean, obviously there’s something still great about the album. It’s just, for us, right now, we need to get away from it a bit.”
At the moment Radiohead’s latest single is available via download only and is a tribute to a WWI veteran named Harry Patch who died recently at the age of 111.
