Tween and viral sensation Rebecca Black is set to drop her debut EP next month! The young singer is promising her fans (and critics) that she is serious about having a music career and is determined to prove she isn’t just a one-hit wonder. She says:
“It’s crazy to think [about ‘Friday’]. I was really nervous about ‘My Moment’ coming out because I thought, ‘I don’t think I’ll be able to even beat ‘Friday’ myself.’ … I wanted people to able to take me seriously because I felt like this would be the right thing to do. I wanted to start building what could be a really great career, but this industry, it’s so unpredictable: You could be the big thing for a month or four months, and then kind of fall off the face of the planet.”
That is very true. We’re glad to hear someone like yourself, so young and unexperienced, really understands the risks of this business.
But even if this thing flops, no one can ever take the success of Friday away from you! That is yours to keep always! Remember that and we think, no matter what happens, you’ll do alright for yourself.
