rebel wilson marie claire uk interview
Rebel Wilson used to be shy… no joke!
For the July issue of Marie Claire UK, the Bridesmaids actress opened up to the author of the book Pitch Perfect about overcoming her childhood shyness and the idea of being naked on camera. LOVES it!

The blonde beauty shared:

“I was so unusually shy, bordering on a social disorder. So my mum ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ one day she drives me to this community acting class. I was holding on to the car door and crying. She had to peel me off the car. She’s like, ‘I’ll pick you up in two hours,’ And she left me.”

Huh, the more you know! While Miz Wilson has made tremendous strides in defeating her social anxiety, she’s not quite ready to get naked for the camera. In regards to her role in Sacha Baron Cohen‘s movie The Brother’s Grimsby, she noted:

“They wanted full-frontal nudity. We write in the contract, specifically, ‘No nudity.’ They got in another girl ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ this larger burlesque dancer from South Africa ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ to be a nude double. And they got her to do all this stuff. Sacha would go, ‘See, she looks good.’ I’m like, ‘I’m not doing it. I don’t care what you say.'”

Well that’s fair! Still, that doesn’t mean Rebel will NEVER be nude on screen. She added:

“You want to know that the people [behind the camera] have a certain sensibility and decency. And a lot of times in comedy they’re not those people.”

Hmm, very inneresting. Nonetheless, the Australian native went on to dish about not needing a man in her life.

On her love life, Rebel explained:

“I’m very independent. To the point where I’m too independent. If you’re a successful woman you want to find the right person, but you don’t necessarily need them.”

Hear! Hear! Despite her independent spirit, Rebel knows what she’s looking for in a relationship as she continued:

“I don’t want to settle for someone if they’re not right but, because I get to do such awesome fun stuff all the time, I really want to share that with somebody. We’ll see. I’m definitely on the look out. I’m trying to put it out there, but I don’t know whether the right person is in Hollywood ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ you only meet actors or musicians here.”

Oh, we’d LOVE to see who Rebel ends up with at the end of the day. We have some thoughts, do YOU?
