Sources believe DJ AM‘s recent breakup with his girlfriend, Hayley Wood, coupled with the post-traumatic stress from his September ’08 plane crash may have triggered the former addict to use.
AM was said to be “completely devastated” when Wood ended the relationship last week.
The DJ was sober for nine years before being found in his NY apartment from an alleged overdose on Friday afternoon, which goes to show how incredibly harrowing a disease addiction is.
