Red Hot Chili Peppers Cancels Concert After Bandmate Anthony Kiedis Hospitalized! See What The Band Said

Red Hot Chili Peppers were scheduled to headline the annual KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, California on Saturday, but were forced to cancel their performance at the last minute.
Because mere hours before the rock group was set to kick off the concert, frontman Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized.
According to reports, the singer was at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre when he started experiencing “extreme stomach pain,” and was shortly after transported to a nearby hospital.

After Kiedis was taken to the hospital, fellow band mates Chad Smith, Flea, and guitarist Josh Klingoffer took to the stage to explain to the crowd why they would not be performing as scheduled.
Flea promised the crowd:

“We will play for you very soon, we will play for you like the feral animals that we are, and we’re so sorry.”

After the concert, Smith also took to Twitter to express his disappointment and wish Kiedis a speedy recovery, sharing:

We wish the musician a speedy recovery as well!
