Reddit User Donates His Kidney To A Complete Stranger In Need! Our Faith In Mankind Is Restored!

If you needed more proof that the internet is awesome, then we have a story that will make a true believer out of you!
A man named John Kim was on a desperate search for a kidney donor after years of battling with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis caused his organs to fail. However, when wasn’t having any luck, he turned to the website Reddit and posted his blood type and phone number in hopes of connecting with a match!
Luckily, a user simply known as Charger525 said he would be more than happy to donate his kidney to John and headed to UCI Medical Irvine center to get the ball rolling!
In true Reffitor fashion, the donor took pictures throughout the entire surgery to keep his followers updated on all of the gory details!
Charger525 spoke out about his decision to go under the knife, saying:

“I wasn’t sure about doing this at first, but then I thought, I didn’t know anything about dialysis or becoming a donor before all this. I wanted to share it and answer as much possible to help educate others through my experience.”

Charger525 says he has become close with John and his family since the surgery, and we’re not too surprised to hear that!
With approximately 96,500 people on the organ transplant list in the U.S. asking specifically for kidneys, his random act of kindness without question helped change somebody’s life!
