Guess after 16,746 hours in front of the camera, it’s hard to live a fulfilled life without one.
Regis Philbin is tired of retirement and wants to get back on television ASAP! An executive says Kelly Ripa‘s former co-host is itchin’ for a new job and told sources:
“TV is in his blood. This is where he feels most alive and happy — being in front of a camera. But the TV landscape has changed so much from the last time Regis was looking for a job. Now they want Kardashians and Housewives.├óΓé¼┬¥
Regis may be in luck though. Following his reunion with former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford during the fourth hour of The Today Show last week, we hear NBC wants to offer him a contract!
It would work out perfectly because Kathie’s current co-host, Hoda Kotb, may be replacing Ann Curry. Even if he doesn’t get hired for the hosting gig, the peacock would at least be innerested in using Philbin as “a special contributor to Today,” along with other entertainment specials on the network.
Although we’d LOVE to watch Regis mix and mingle with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we think watching him on Today would be more appropriate. Ha!
