Registered Sex Offender Worked At Chuck E. Cheese For 11 YEARS!

Wow. WTF?
Joseph W. Turner was convicted in 1996 for having sex with a 13 year old.
He was hired by Chuck E. Cheese in Illinois in 2000.
The company says that they’ve performing background checks since 2002.
Turner has been on leave as CEC Entertainment performs an investigation.
Joe Merriman is a parent who recognized Turner on Illinois’ sex registry website. He thought Turner was IN the Chuck E. mouse suit!
But the company stands by their hiring and Illinois does not ban sex offenders from being hired by private companies.
CEC Entertainment also states that Turner has been a model employee working “behind the scenes.”
Let’s hope he HAS been a model citizen.
