This is what we like to hear!
New York State Senator Roy McDonald supports gay marriage, and he doesn’t care who knows it. In fact, he’s pretty pissed off at people who think the situation is so easy and think they can just push people around. So he has dropped an INcredible quote on those who oppose gay marriage:
“You get to the point where you evolve in your life where everything isn’t black and white, good and bad, and you try to do the right thing. You might not like that. You might be very cynical about that. Well, fuck it, I don’t care what you think. I’m trying to do the right thing. I’m tired of Republican-Democrat politics. They can take the job and shove it. I come from a blue-collar background. I’m trying to do the right thing, and that’s where I’m going with this.”
Hell yeah!
Hearing that gets us so pumped up about the cause. It’s WONDERFUL to hear someone take that kind of stance on the situation.
If only more people would realize the idea of trying to do the right thing isn’t black and white. We know that not all Republicans are against gay marriage, and that there are in fact gay republicans too. We just need to hear more from them!
