Good to see he’s making some money, even though we haven’t seen him in too many movies lately!
Yesterday, Richard Gere sold 110 lots from his personal collection of guitars and amps for a grand total of nearly $1 million!
Here’s what the actor/former guitar collector had to say about it:
“Without ever thinking I was putting a collection together, there seems to be one. I just bought what I liked, what sounded good — what played well.”
As far as the proceeds are concerned, Richard has said that he’ll use all the auction money to buy more guitars support global humanitarian causes.
How nice and selfless of Richard! We are impressed!
