With the news of Richard Simmons‘ new branding deal revealed last week, many were wondering if it would be the end to his reclusive period!
Well, the fitness guru’s longtime manager Michael Catalano has something to say about that…

Speaking to The New York Times about the agreement between his management company Prominent Brand + Talent and Richard, he explained how the 68-year-old was “directly involved.”
Additionally, Michael shared the products would be very on brand and “in keeping with Richard’s lifelong mission and messaging.”
He continued:
“We’re talking about inspiration-themed products that will hopefully accomplish what Richard really set his life’s work to do, which is to help people take better care of themselves. We’re not licensing tires and party hats.”
But the real question is whether or not Simmons will be back in the spotlight to promote them after deciding to lead a quieter life in 2014. Michael’s answer??
“All I can say, at least for now, is it is possible, but it is yet to be determined, I would say.”
