While country star Randy Travis sobered up in a Texas drunk tank after allegedly driving drunk and threatening cops, rock veteran Rick Springfield cut a deal with SoCal prosecutors and confessed to plead no contest to astonishingly similar crimes!
Back in May of 2011, Malibu coppers pulled Rick over and smelled some booze on his breath.
One thing lead to another, as it so often does, and suddenly the dude who sang Jessie’s Girl was threatening to kill a police officer and his family!

Prosecutors dropped the DUI charge in exchange for his no contest plea to reckless driving.
