Alright, two things you need to know about Ricky Gervais, as was shared by Ricky last night on The Late Show with David Letterman.
One – he still isn’t sorry for any of the stuff he said or did during his stint as host of the Golden Globes this past year. As he puts it:
“I didn’t think I did anything wrong, they were just jokes. I did nothing wrong and I wouldn’t apologize for it… These people are the most privileged, richest people in the world — if you can’t joke about them, what can you make a joke about?”
Okay, great. Are we done with this now? We get it – he’s not sorry and the Golden Globes will never invite him back. It’s over. It’s done. Let’s move on…
Two – Though Ricky will most definitely be making a season finale guest star appearance on The Office, he won’t be returning to Dundler Mifflin after that. He insists that there are plenty of others to fill the void that will be left behind by Steve Carrell when he goes, but he won’t be one of them. As he explains, “Why would I get up at six o’clock every morning? I get half their wages anyway!”
That’s…false. Don’t you make a ton of money for, oh we don’t know, creating the series???
Also, if you’re not the man, could you just tell us who the freakin’ boss is going to be already? We’re tired of all the guess work and reading between the lines. Fess up!!!
